Changing Culture and Managing Change

The answer to the question "How do things really happen around here"? is an indication of an organization's culture. Often the culture that exists now is not the culture that will serve the organization best in its future. Our methods assist in describing the current culture, defining what is needed in the future in order to achieve strategic objectives, and developing a plan and process for change.

Leadership/Management Development & Management/Executive Coaching

Everyone is being called upon to demonstrate leadership abilities in organizations today, no matter what position they occupy. And everyone can benefit from our process of skills assessment, including such things as communication, conflict resolution, goal setting, problem-solving and performance management. Our coaching and training programs are customized to strengthen those areas that need improvement. Managers and Executives are also finding that it may be helpful to have a personal coaching relationship with an "outside the organization" perspective.

Team Development

With the great emphasis being placed on teamwork, there is often some confusion about what it really means to work as a team. Our Team Development Process capitalizes on each individual's strengths to build understanding and agreement about team purpose/mission, shared goals, clear roles, well-defined practices and supportive relationships.

Performance Management

Managing others effectively requires multiple skills: Setting clear goals and expectations, giving useful feedback, reinforcing strengths and assessing the causes of deficits, coaching, and creating opportunities for development are just a few of them. Our Performance Management process addresses these and more.

Working Collaboratively

In the past, organizations were structured around independent functions that were coordinated from the top. Organization structures of the past were also primarily "internally" oriented and paid less attention to external relationships with customers, technology developers, suppliers, etc. Old structures are often unnecessarily rigid and confined. Today's high performing organizations utilize work-teams and task forces across internal and external boundaries to solve problems, develop strategies and take advantage of emerging opportunities. New information tools help to achieve horizontal coordination but old habits related to inter-group competition are often still present. We can help bridge differences and create truly collaborative relationships across functions.

Building skills is an essential part of creating a high-performing group or organization.
